Who Qualifies Under McKinney-Vento?
■ Students who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence, including those living:
■ Doubled-up due to housing loss, economic hardship, or a similar reason
■ In motels, hotels, shelters, or transitional housing
■ In cars, parks, campgrounds, or public spaces because there is no alternative adequate accommodation.
■ In substandard housing or places not meant for sleeping
■ Not in the physical custody of a parent or guardian AND lacking a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence
